2.   Thorough knowledge of industry standard garment construction techniques

Main Duties:

1.   Fine tune fit and basic block by fabric base and send these base to supplier chain.
2.   Revise and up-date the format of technical package.
3.   Work in collaboration with the team in other office to complete the collection and insure correct production throughout the entire manufacturing process (proto, fit, PPS and TOP samples).
4.   Responsible to amend and complete the necessary technical changes to finalize the technical packages and send them to our supplier chain.
5.   Maintain constant communication with supplier base to insure that comments and corrections are understood and executed.
6.   Responsible to maintain and up-date a repertoire of sample status and create a wash standard library.
7.   Responsible for all branded and private label brand washed garments. In this specific case, you will be working with design team to asses proto samples and bulk production in collaboration with the production team.

1.   Research trends and new silhouettes focusing on line assignment (Special Markets);
2.   Have a good eye for prints;
3.   Develop and execute print re-coloration in Photoshop;
4.   Sketch on computer;
5.   Create sketch boards in Illustrator (50% of the time);
6.   Prepare PDF, technical packages, and data entry in Momentis;
7.   Lab dip comments, approvals and follow-up;
8.   Daily emails communication with Orient;
9.   Sourcing new fabrics and trims;
10.   Transmitting the styling information to patternmakers and technical designers regarding trims colors, styling, etc.;
11.   Trim list meetings and making sure that the production department has all the necessary information on each style to proceed with bulk;

Criteria :

1.   In-depth knowledge of design techniques and processes
2.   Excellent level of professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
3.   Ability to work independently as well within a group. Self-starter, multi-tasking, initiative, and work in a fast paced environment.
4.   The above is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Diploma in Fashion or Merchandising and a minimum of 5 years of experience in previous related experience.
5.   Good knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
6.   Bilingualism would be an asset.
